Hi, I'm Aethelia. Or Jacqueline/Jackie, because even after a decade of being on the internet, apparently I will never get used to be referred to by a screen name as it always feels weird to me.

I've been on NationStates for quite awhile. Mostly just to answer issues, I find politics interesting, probably coming from a family that enjoys arguing about everything. I've only recently realized that people socialize on NS too. It's hard for me, but I've decided to join in, at least for finding a good region since the NS forum is a rather toxic community. The last region I tried to join sadly went inactive. I'm not sure if they liked me anyway. So, looking around and seeing the moon symbology and references to the Byzantine Empire, both topics that interest me, I decided this region looked good and wanted to try again here.

I have a lot of trouble socializing... I hope that won't be a problem. It's especially scary being around a lot of men, or any men, so I hope I'm not alone here... I'm trying to act confident but it gets hard when so worried about being seen as a failure or disappointment, or looking weak or stupid.

I'm not sure what I can offer here. I don't have much to be proud of. Mostly I just read a lot. Wheel of Time is my favorite series, but I'm familiar with many books. I also try to read a lot to gain useful knowledge from skill books, so I know about things like bridge design, car repair, music theory, military history, statistics, software programming, wilderness survival, astrophysics, etc. Just about everything that sounds interesting other than language, which I have exceptionally high difficulty learning for some reason.

I'll try not to let it ruin anything, but I do have some severe problems with depression, paranoia, and possibly unverified PTSD. I hope to be at least passably good at roleplay, as finding escape through fantasy is the best relief from the pain of reality that I know of.

I shouldn't end with that... something positive... how about, though I have lost a lot in my life, since the day everything changed for me, I like holding onto memories and things from my past, they remind me of when I used to be happy, and one thing I like to hang onto from my younger self is my old dream of being a famous singer someday. It'll never happen now, but that doesn't even make me sad, I just like to imagine being a singer just for myself. I even hum a lot. Not even known songs, I don't care much for copying the work of others, I make my own lyrics and melodies. Next to fantasy, singing is my favorite pleasure. I suppose that's not very relevant to a text-based internet forum, I think I just often need happy thoughts to keep going.

Hi all!

I've tried to make the article as close to wikipedia as possible. I will be adding more information, just like the real thing, in time, so please use this thread to post all your thoughts, comments, love, hate and criticism, so I can keep improving the article.

By cleverly using several tags, calculating lots of figures, making some graphics and coming up with lots of ideas.

Sure.

How did I get the area and population figures?
I used a Latitude Area Calculator designed by a good friend of mine. I came up with the population, after developing the various provinces in my nation and deciding what would be an appropriate population based on their sizes, topography and economic development.

Can I give you the area of your nation?

The Icy Black Sun Confederate have been planning to destroy all nations in Selene in hope for being a Dominate Power.

They have already killed two Greek Bishops and One Soltek traveller.

They are now planning to attack Selene itself in hopes of destroying the superpower and taking over the rest.

The Greeks have offered to destroy the group but they need your help to attack them.

However not every nation wants to side with Selene and so the Icy Black Sun Confederate will accept any hope of arms against Selene.

The Confederacy of Ducaphe , commonly referred to as the Ducaphean Confederation, or simply Ducaphe. Is the southern most nation in the continent of Theodosia. The nation is  comprised of 15 states* with its capital city being Friedenmont City, which is located in a state bearing the same name. The nation has both Western and Eastern coasts, at the time of this being written, the nation only borders the Soltek Federation, to its north.

Kitos is a visionary. He had forgiven Sasaufe the moment she left the country, as the charisma of Ranxiagrir had not hidden his tyranny from Kitos. He could imagine what it would be like having someone that you couldn't escape pressuring you into things all the time and since she destroyed the wall of prejudice of the people towards the Anarcho-Communists and freed up the country for a change, he was grateful that she took power.
 He had the country acting as he wanted, everyone free but supporting one another, but the problem of Keemu remained. Kitos hated Keemu. He hated anyone that said they were something but then changed to the opposite. Keemu had shown why conventional anarchy would never work, as there would always be some power hungry person that oppressed the people for personal gain, if they had access to the power, which is exactly what happened to Keemu. So Kitos, not wanting a civil war, had tried to talk to Keemu, and when that failed he saw no other option.
Seek help from the other countries to deal with him. He wanted no more deaths of his people if he could and did not want to order them and turn into another dictator, so he sought a meeting with the other countries.

Archon Baslie Vasilios has announced is a historic speech that the previous 90 years of isolation starting today.

" The Gods wish for us to establish contact with the heathens and heretics, to spread to them the good word." This is the first time in Pantyrgos history that outsiders from the church will be allowed to trade and visit, and even live in the country in its 90 year existence. For now the only place that traders can visit is two specified areas in the capital city.
