Sasaufe raised her eyebrows slightly at the elaborate decorations and then removed her jacket and placed it, folded, onto one of the chairs. 'Very fancy' she remarked as she poured herself some tea with honey and sugar. She sipped it a few times, finding it to her liking and then set it on the table and tried a piece of the bread. 'As I've said many times before, isolation has definitely benefited your culture'
Taking a sip of his own tea Ishay chuckled "We have been blessed with a perfect land for self sustaining. We are the second largest nation on earth, so we have many resources, and we have a large population. This allowed us to grow and develop by competing within our own borders, much like how you capitalist countries grow. We've also been blessed with relative stability so we've only rarely been forced to pause progress. Remind me to tell you more about how we managed to be so modern in our own isolation some other time"

Ishay paused to sip his tea, the light from the window revealing a subtle glitter had been painted onto his eye lids

"Tell me, are you familiar with the socialist revolution in Procellia?"

'Not particularly no' Sasaufe replied sipping her tea.

"Well about 300 years ago a Procellian philosopher published a book called "The Communist Manifesto". In it he detailed an idealized order in which people are seen as equals and are no longer subject to economic slavery." He explained as he poured himself more tea

"Over the next hundred years or so his ideas became more popular, and ended up evolving into a political party. Two hundred years ago the Procellian Socialist Party won a supermajority in the People's Assembly, and over the next decade they remained in power and turned us into a socialist power. Thanks to them starvation and homelessness is virtually unheard of in our Empire, and poverty is rare. They also established our central healthcare over a century before such things were done elsewhere. It also has come to symbolise the end of the Theocratic War cycle, as it proved our democracy could enable revolution without violence."

'Interesting' she replied.
Ishay sighed as he finished his second cup of tea "Have you thought about how you plan on doing what you were asked to do? Changing the religious landscape of country is no easy feat, especially to a religion that is philosophically the antithesis of western religions. Even Procellian Catholicism is alien compared to the Roman variety."

'Many of my people followed Ranxiagrir's blasphemy, or his revised religion, in which the feline aspect of Trahki, our religion, was suppressed but the 'it' aspect was boosted. People also started praying to 'it' which I guess is our version of God and as a result, Trahki became very similar to Christianity. However, since I came to power people have turned to Fymmis and Praanier more as well as the non-revised Cysuusra, while Ranxiagrir's blasphemy has been outlawed. Since we already have a rich and diverse religious population, with virtually no atheists, it will not be hard to implement demonism into the culture. There are no such things as demons in Trahki, although there may be a similar concept in Fymmis and Praanier, although they are not seen as evil so demonism will be embraced among the followers of these two. Since demonism is quite open as well and since humans are naturally inclined to believe what they see, as long as they have you as proof and they can still have some of their previous cultural identity, I believe it will convert a lot of my population. Now is probably the best time to do this as well as since all versions of Trahki have been accepted and encouraged we are in a bit of turmoil as everyone decides what they believe in, so they won't be as bound to Trahki or as devout to it as they would be in a few years. Sacrifices and the like would be accepted as both Fymmis and Praanier have rituals involving sacrifices, and some by blood as in demonism.' Sasaufe replied 'and in today's ad-filled world where the population is controlled like sheep, it wouldn't be hard to convert a country, as long as we have at least a priestess in every city, with the High Priestess residing in Shycus of course' she gulped down the rest of her tea and set the cup on the table.

(OOC are there priests in demonsim or just priestesses?)
"Very ingenious" Ishay said impressed

(Ooc: There are both. The reason that you've only seen women is because it's considered taboo for a priest to touch or talk to a woman. Dras Ishay would have had a priest when he did his ceremony. That's why for your blessing he had to pick a colored stone, so they knew what gender you were)

'I do my best' she replied 'my people will follow me don't worry'

(OOC K thanks)

"Welcome to the People's Assembly" Ishay said as he escorted Sasaufe across the large square that spanned infront of the huge building before them. The stone building soared to the limits of what the building codes allowed, spires reaching into the sky. Behind it could be seen one of the many wide canals, glittering in the sun.

The roads on this side of town had all been closed, forcing them to walk the mile from the castle. Flags baring socialist symbols hung in a row from the roof of the building, à wooden platform and risers had been constructed on the steps where several people were already seated.

"This is the center of our democracy and the secret to our stability" he added as he led her up to a booth where the Prime Minister and his wife had already seated themselves.[Image: b066b8c009c078a33f156fd37389321d.jpg]
