First Councillor Bergamaschi has called the Meridian Ambassador to a meeting at the Palazzo Malzo to convey the serious concerns of the Sartorian Government over the legality of torture in Carnato.

Chancellor Yamamoto and the government of Setsushima have officially denounced the nation of Meridia for its use of torture in Carnato, saying that it is, "Abhorrent and barbaric."

Senator Mario Salucci spoke today at the Senate floor, asking the Privy Council to formally condemn Meridia for its human rights practices.
