The Great Tnarist Restoration

#1

Following Sir Arthur Wellman taking the throne, massive changes are afoot in the Drewish Empire's largest and most influential group, the Tnarist Faith.
Wellman recently made a speech allongside the Supreme Disciple of the Tnarist Faith calling for a Great Restoration, with the goal of spreading Tnarism to every corner of the globe. Wellman expressed his belief that it is every Drewish citizens responsibility to convert any and all nonbelievers to the One True Faith. To accomplish this, Wellman and the Supreme Disciple Thomas Barrow have founded the Tnarist Missionary Corps. This Corp will recruit volunteers, who will then be sent via airplane to as many nations as possible, where they will found Tnarist Churches and Religious Societies. Hundreds of thousands of citizens have signed up, but only 46,000 missionaries will be sent at this time. Targets for mission work include, Fornoire, Alsshara, Sartoria, Kauzka, the Sol Federation, Imperial Military Greece, and the Righteous Empire.

(OOC: You may have your leaders react to this news on this thread, such as posting whether your nation would be willing to host Tnarist Missionaries, or a Tnarist Church, and how the Tnarists are doing at recruiting followers in your nation.)

For those that do not know about Tnarism, here's a brief description:
Tnarism was founded in the year 738 by a prophet named Quillog. At the time of its foundation, the Drewish Empire was ruled by a loose collective of Atheist warlords. Quillog founded Tnarism based on principles of militarism and conquest, as well as prominent beliefs against racial discrimination, an idea which allowed him to receive large support from the oppressed minorities of the Empire. For the next 52 years, Quillog expanded the Tnarist Faith until it was followed by roughly 60% of people in the Drewish Home Islands. At this point Quillog (then 74 years old) organized his followers into a massive army, and launched a bloody civil war against the Aetheist monarchs. The war was quickly won by the Tnarists, who then created the Holy Tnarist Empire, a nation that would eventually become the Drewish Empire. Tnarists believe that the one true God has appoints one messenger to Artemia every time the previous messenger dies. This messenger is known as the Supreme Disciple, and leads the Tnarist faith, making executive decisions as to how it should be run. The second highest figure in the Faith is the Grand Imperator of the Drewish Empire, who operates alongside the Prophet. The Imperator advises the Prophet, but cannot make executive decisions in the Faith. Today, more than 98% of Drewish citizens are Tnarist followers. The religion dominates almost every aspect of Drewish life, including the government.

Beliefs of the Tnarist Faith include:
1. Unwavering loyalty to the faith (and to a lesser level, to the Drewish Empire)
2. Mandatory military service in support of the faith (in the army of the Drewish Empire or that of its allies)
3. Abhoring all discrimination based on race, gender, or orientation
4. The belief that the Supreme Disciple is the one true god's messenger on Earth, and that authority over the entire world is the Faith's birthright.

Police have been protecting Tnarist missionaries, as Sorists have been harassing them for the Drewish supporting the fascist coup. Tnarists have gathered a following of 150 in Catherine and 350 in the rest of the country, however.

The Drewish Empire has offered to cover the expenses of any Tnarist group founded in Fornoire. Money has been sent to the Tnarists there to build a place of worship.

In other news, Tnarists have been sent to Sach'aqa to convert the local populace.

(OOC: just a quick thing, if you answered no on the poll and won't allow Tnarists, please post something about it on this thread. Thanks!)

Two people were sitting across each other, seemingly in their living room, having dinner. It was a young man, probably no older than twenty, along with his mother, a woman who was forty five but looked considerably younger than that. They were wearing lose clothes, trying to cope with the humid summer in Porto Verale.

"Mamma, I read that Drewish was planning on sending some missionaries here."

She chuckled, instantly noticing the silliness of that endeavour. "That'll never happen."

"How come?" He asked, curious about the reason why she was so sure.

"Do you remember how the Fifty Years Massacre came to the east from the southern realms, all those years ago? When that finished, the eastern realms passed strict laws on foreigners spreading religions in our territory. That was incorporated to the whole country once L'Unificazione was finished."

"What, so these missionaries won't even be allowed to come?"

"Just give it a few days and you'll see how they'll be denied entry permits. Heck, you know how our country is when it comes to religion. I would be surprised if this religion of theirs was accepted at all."

It's Alssahra. Not Alsshara.

Cassius Zeno stated at a speech in Imperius that he would allow Tnarist missionaries into the Righteous Empire. "Our Drewish friends have asked us to allow Tnarist missionaries into our country. We cannot ignore the requests of our allies, and as citizens, you should be greatful to have strengthened bonds with your Drewish brethren. A religion with strong ties to conquest resembles our philosophy on divine war. I am exited to take a step towards stronger relations to the Drewish Empire."

Shortly after waiting 30 days the Tnarists Missionaries who against the recent travel ban made their way to the Republic of the Communist States of Kumari from their Drewish Homeland. Their visiting visa was finally accepted at the border except for two who were sent home for carrying fascist related paraphernalia on their person. They were told to report to the local district building to apply for a permit to operate a room in one of the recreation centers as a church, it is expected to be opened in the months to come. Citizens are patiently waiting as Kumari has little to no faith in any religion, as the government doesn't fund nor classify the church priest as a profession. Therefore as it doesn't provide as labor housing will not be provided unless they take up actual qualifying labor.

The Drewish Empire has thanked the Righteuos Empire for allowing Tnarists. Wellman recently made a speech about it, saying, "As a nation the Drewish people thank the government of the Righteous Empire for allowing our missionaries to enter. We hope that Tnarism will grow to become the dominant faith in the RE, and that our missionaries will help guide our Righteous brothers and sisters on the path to enlightenment. Since the Righteous people have been so kind and accepting of our culture, I have decided to spread some of theirs to the Drewish people. As soon as possible, the Righteous Empire's Blood Sports will be televised throughout the nation on both personal and public monitors!"
