Cardinal O'Cronin greets the Royal Family upon their arrival in St. Christopher's. He stations the Legiones along with Fornoire's military at the Northern most point of Pontilear, Port of Grace, if military action is required. He offers the Royal Family refuge with him in Sanctus Domum.
Cardinal O'Cronin insists on blessing each member of the Royal family and their military. A celebratory mass will be held for their successful escape from the tyrannical coupe in their homeland. His Eminence also prayers for those still remaining.
An entire wing of St. Stephen's Hospital is dedicated to the care of Willihiam III.
Security is increased throughout Pontilear. His Eminence takes Archbishop Unferold into his study for strict instructions.
"I want a group of our finest agents to infiltrate the Fornoire Transitional Government. I want as much information as possible before moving forward. Surely, our neighbors will ally with Fornoire. Also, I want Archbishop Wallovsky to personally attend to Willihiam and the Royal Family. Not only do I want the best pastoral care for them in this distressing time but they need a lenient ear as well".
Archbishop Unferold finished writing and sighed looking down at his paper.
"What is it my son?"
"Can we trust them Your Eminence? We have had no dealings with Fornoire. How do know that they won't try to secularize us and make us fold under international pressure? We have been governing ourselves for years..."
Cardinal O'Cronin placed a hand on Unferold's shoulder to stop him.
"Are we not Christians? Should we not be apart of the world? Do not fear your neighbor Thaddeus. This isn't the old Pontilear. I will not close this nation off. Our neighbors suffered greatly and reached out our arm. Something we should have been doing for years. We are a Catholic nation and will continue to be. Our people are strong in their faith. Do not fear what you do not know".
With that Cardinal O'Cronin went to his bench to pray and Archbishop Unferold left the Cardinal uneasy.
