Dear Honourable Dras Ishay,

I will bring all necessary items for myself and my countrymen to celebrate Mass. You need not provide anything but accommodation. We have arranged for our own transportation provided by His Grace Bishop of the Pontilear Armed Forces. They will be arriving with us, I only request adjoining rooms for them with myself and Deacon Langey.
His Eminence would also like to contribute to Procellia for their hospitality. This financial arrangement will be made at the conclusion of the Meeting

Yours in Christ,

Archbishop Thaddeus Unferold
Secretary of Foreign Relations
Bishop of St. Wolfgang
[SECRET, V. GALLO]
[REC: MARCO VALERIUS]

Presidente,

It is in the interests of both our nations that we hold these bilateral talks as soon as possible. I trust that Byzantium will take well to host it, to hold the talks in neutrality?

Signed,
Victoria Gallo
First Minister of Sylon

[SECRET, V. GALLO]
Marco Valerio was holding a paper, but he quickly put it down on the nightstand and walked to his bathroom. He brushed his teeth, then grabbed the paper and made a call on the landline on his nightstand.

"Please notify Councillor Marelli that she has to make all the necessary arrangements for a summit with Sylon in Byzantium. She will be our representative."

He then hanged up and considered this turn of events. Things were coming together.
Afgurla, The Empire of Procellia
---------------------------------------------------

Having taken the same train into the city the two parties had found themselves combined, with the General taking the lead.

The ride it's self had been fairly uneventful, thanks to the conspicuously armed guards they'd had a whole train car to themselves. Over the span of thirty minutes the general had passed the time by talking about the sights in the city, so much so that it almost bordered on torture to endure.

As the group emerged onto the streets, having taken the stairs from the subway, it became obvious as to why automobiles were prohibited inside of the city limits. The street upon which they entered was unsuitable for anything bigger than a bike, being only slightly larger than a typical two lane country road. The tiny road felt even more claustrophobic due to the massive buildings that surrounded the boulevard.

These pillars of glass and steel towered so high above the city that their tops were nearly invisible. Curiously though each building was completely unique, each a statement of modern beauty. Connecting these pieces of gargantuan art were an endless array of enclosed bridges. Despite being midday though, there was almost no natural light to speak of in the city. Between the closely packed skyscrapers and the bridges connecting them the only light to be had was from the many led lights that lined the edge of the road.

"Welcome to Afgurla! Also affectionately known as the world's biggest building" The general announced loudly to be hears over the ruckus from the many people walking about, and what sounded like trains up above their heads.

East Reception Room

Valerio entered the East Reception Room through the secondary door, a largely undecorated door to the right of the main entrance. He immediately spotted Sergeant Vemel next to his soldiers, and approached them with confidence.

"I have good news gentlemen. I communicated with the authorities in Procellia and all misunderstandings have been cleared." He handed them the last communication from Dras Ishay. "You have been recalled. I will make sure to talk with my counterpart, but please still carry the message that I will be attending the summit as scheduled. My flight should be departing in the following hours."

Having finished, the Council President waited to see if they had anything to say in response.
Sergent Vemel carefully read over the orders handed to him. To be certain it was written in Procellian, though obviously written by someone who didn't speak the language themselves.

"We thank you for your hospitality" He said in a slow monotone, eyeing the still unopened gifts sitting on the desk. With a few short phrases in his mother tongue, the small group picked up and left unceremoniously. Their secret intention having been met.

Valerio watched the soldiers gather their effects and begin exiting the room. He made certain not to open the packages they had given him.

"Sergeant?" He called out before Vemel left. "When you see Dras Ishay, tell him first impressions are difficult to control."

He turned his back on the group without waiting for a response, heading back to his desk.
Most Honourable Dras Ishay,

I write on behalf of Pontilear and thank you for being a most gracious host. Archbishop Unferold and Deacon Langey have found their accommodations to be quite comfortable.
I have been told of your wonderful city and the modernization of your nation. The architecture of the city is quite marvelous, from my correspondence with the Archbishop. Upon hearing of the advancement of Procellia, I propose opening lines of trade between our countries. Pontilear has been isolated for far too long under previous Sees.
I am also sending a check of undisclosed amount to your government for your hospitality. I hope you find it most useful.

Cardinal Francis O'Cronin

Dear Holiness Francis,

With the blessing of my elected officials I thank you for your generous gift to our nation. In addition we agree that trade between our nations would be very beneficial to us both.

Leos'mal is a deep water port city along the southeastern coast of Procellia. We wish to offer you the ability to market, sell and buy goods inside of the city. Be advised though that in order to protect domestic industry we do have national tariffs that would make your goods priced as luxury items. We also ask you to not import food or animals.

Mayor Kuthru is the leader of the city, and Lord Cus is the royal head. They have been empowered to directly work with you on this.

With Great Respect,

Dras Ishay

The Honourable Lord Cus,

The Holy Empire of Pontilear wishes to establish a trade route between Leos'mal and Port of Grace.
We have many vineyards in Pontilear due to the monasteries. I would encourage you to reconsider a ban on foods; it is most excellent wine.
In regards to natural resources; mining has been bountiful. We are willing to sell sapphire with applicable tax.
I am willing to suspend our tariffs for a period.
(Tariff on iron, gold, silver, diamonds, emerald)
Anything imported, natural, will be exempt in the port, for five days.
I wish to impress this is Pontilear's first trade agreement after year's of isolation.

Archbishop Leopold Isaac
Secretary of Financial Responsibility
Bishop of St. Simon's Chapel
