New capital!  edit: 1: I’m planning that to prevent family rivalries for power, the Majlis al-Shura would be moved to a different city outside of the Caliph’s main seat of operations to detour and possible sway from the Caliph’s family since the sons of the Caliph usually run for election, along with keeping the balance and check on the Caliph. 2) I really loved the possible city when I was writing it up and developing it. In its history it’s been a strong city and always has had influence. When the brief Collapse of the Caliphate happened, the entire government was centered there. |
