The City of Catherine (Fornirian: Sauribika Katarina) is a metropolitan ward in Fornoire. 

This area was the original city of Catherine, before industrialization and modernization. As the area became more and more populated, the city absorbed many of the before-towns and empty spaces to become the Catherine Metropolitan Area, consisting of many wards. The City of Catherine proper became a ward and the centre of metropolitan power, housing the Metropolitan Mayor, the Metropolitan Assembly, and the Metropolitan Court of Catherine. It is the capital ward of the metropolitan area.

The City of Catherine is also the capital of the Catherine Region and of the Mitiol Department of where it resides. This ward has the distinction of being the only non-municipality that is the capital of a department and of a region.

The City of Catherine is also home to the Silver Palace, where the King resides, and to many of the metropolitan nobility in its coast, whilst further inland are industrial areas of the ward. Despite holding the royal family and the local nobility, it is only second in proportional wealth, the prime honour belonging to its neighbour, the Maribilia Metropolitan Ward, where a lot of financial institutions of the wider metropolitan area and of the nation are centered.

The Metropolitan Ward of Maribila (Fornirian: Mitropolitaur Daika Maribila) is a metropolitan ward in Fornoire.

Maribila was once a fishing village. However, in the 16th century, it amassed a large number of traders, and the town grew into a trading city. Fornoire's oldest surviving bank, the Bank of Maribila, sprung up in this age of trade.

When Fornoire industrialized and modernized, it was a centre of both finance and industry. The expansion, however, let it be absorbed by Catherine's metropolitan area, becoming a ward instead.

Today, Maribila houses the Royal Stock Market of Maribila (RSM), the most important stock market in the country. It also houses 3 other minor stock markets, and many financial institutions, including many of Fornoire's biggest banks. It is the wealthiest ward in Catherine, the second being the City of Catherine itself.

The Metropolitan Ward of Korugion (Fornirian: Mitropolitaur Daika Korugion) is a metropolitan ward in Fornoire.

What is now Korugion used to be farms and a small town named Korugion. However, as industrialization came, the population exploded, and the government allowed expansion into the area. It was eventually absorbed by Catherine's metropolitan area, converting it into a ward. It is home to factories, especially those involving sea products.

The Metropolitan Ward of Bizanitina (Fornirian: Mitropolitaur Daika Bisanitina) is a metropolitan ward in Fornoire.

Bizanitina used to be a small farming and iron-mining village named Koropos in its inception. However, inspired by Selenid architecture, the monarchy ordered a new city to be built: Bizanitina. Architects were ordered to design a city inspired by Byzantium.

In the industrialization, however, Catherine's growth absorbed Bizanitina into its metropolitan area. The Old City still remains, and it is a tourist hotspot for Fornirians who cannot afford to go to Selene but can go here instead. Shops inspired by Selenid culture and products have existed since the city's foundation. Their products if imported were once astronomically expensive, and the poorer visitors chose to buy knock-offs instead, but a new, globalized kind of trade has made original products cheaper, making them more affordable.

The Metropolitan Ward of Maria (Fornirian: Mitropolitaur Daika Maria) is a metropolitan ward in Fornoire.

Maria's original name is not known (most probably it was intentionally erased), but Catholic factions of the Royal Family named the then-small walled city this in the 450s, before Fornoire was even an united country. The name praised the Virgin Mary, and even today Maria is the seat of the Silver St. Paul the Apostole Cathedral, the seat of the Archbishop of Catherine. Residents here tend to have more conservative tendencies, as many are more proportionally Catholic and devout than in any other ward in the metropolitan area.

Like many of the wards, as Catherine got bigger in the industrialization period, Maria was absorbed by its metropolitan area. However, the population here retains a localist tendency due to its religious history. More devout migrants proportionally moved here than in any other ward, as Maria was considered a good place to live and get an industrial job if you were religious, and even more if you were a Catholic. After all, it was away from the more liberal, even more leftist, industrial areas of the city.

The Metropolitan Ward of Yaitakuse (Fornirian: Mitropolitaur Daika Yaitakuse) is a metropolitan ward in Fornoire.

It is an industrial and services area, heavily populated. It was once an area of farms and hamlets, but Catherine's industrialization and massive expansion converted it into Yaitakuse. It was named after Aytacuse, a province in Selene. It boasts one of the most famous and biggest metro stations of the metro area, the Yaitakuse 1999 Royal Metro-Subway Station.
