We are investing heavily into our oil and natural gas infrastructure and will have plentiful amounts of these. Would you like to exchange these resources in particular for some amount of your lead and iron?

Sounds like a fine plan. We are willing to buy oil and natural gas for lead and iron. If this proposal is final, feel free to begin the IC thread about the trade agreement and I'll catch up.
