The Union has revoked the Thorium trade deal from Noveaux in response for Noveaux trying to find Thorium within their own borders "We hope are long time trade partners find the possible Thorium deposits in the Astall Mountains, but in the mean time have decided to stop trade deal we are completely willing to reinstate it if no thorium is found."

The Vice-Minister of Foreign Relations called the termination "Regrettable" while the Chancellor referred to the Union as "Warmongers who's words and contracts are worthless." As threatened, troops have been sent to Oriportum to subdue the riots there, being allowed only to fire live ammunition, preferably non-lethally, if a rioter endangers the life of a non-rioting civilian, especially of a Kumarian or a Fornirian of Kumarian descent. 2 shots have already been fired this afternoon on a leg of one rioter who threatened to kill a Kumarian fleeing from the chaos.
