In addition to the sheer size (and cost) of such a force there would be the whole 1:1 time frame. You're looking at over a week's travel time to reach the Soltek considering the amount of water between Fornoire and Sol Federation. In addition to that it takes time (weeks possibly) for ships to be supplied and manned.
