Prosperity Accords[Sekia, Noveaux, Eraphalia]

#1

Zhavirru, Sekia
The day was surprisingly clear, albeit chilly, considering the time of year. Still, it was fitting. For today, a tripartite of sorts is to be agreed upon. The setting is a middling city in north-central Sekia. As opposed to the capital, which is a blend of modern and archaic, Zhavirru was largely the latter. While many buildings looked about 30 years old, the center of the city was stone and wood. It even had a remainder of a protective city wall.

This was what will strengthen Sekia and her allies, Zhulis thought to himself. Zhavirru, meaning "Good Earth" was as fitting as could be for an alliance aiming at defending and advancing nations peacefully. His allies in Noveaux and Eraphalia would be joining him in signing the Prosperity Accords.

He arrived to the aged yet steadfast city hall which was to serve as their meeting place. With him were several officials that included, among others, the Secretary of Foreign Affairs, the Secretary of Defense, and Secretary of Tourism and Culture. The room that had been chosen for the meeting was a large former courtroom. As the city grew, it eventually became a distinguished meeting hall for the area.

Once he had settled down to wait for his equivalents, he wondered what this would eventually achieve. Already, he knew that various industries would grow as well as the technological progress of all. 'We'll soon find out what we've accomplished', the president thought to himself. The rest of the invited parties were to be arriving soon by police escort from local international airport. The excitement and anxiety in many was easily spotted.

With its sheer size the Novean delegation had two air craft that were being used to carry them to the airport. A total of fifteen vehicles had been commissioned on the ground for them as well to ferry the group to the City Hall to sign the accords. The Emperor, Olivier Bast along with the former Empress and now Dowager-Queen Satine Remanti were each in separate planes and cars. Riding with them were many of the senior government officials such as the Ministers of Defense, Foreign Affairs and Relations, the Treasury, Culture and Energy along with many senior miilitary officials like the heads of the various branches of the armed forces of Noveaux. Even the Grand-Divine of the Faith was going to be in attendance to witness this momentous occasion between the three nations.

Olivier couldn't help but be incredibly nervous, this was a major moment in the history of Noveaux and he would be apart of that. He knew that his reign would likely see other points that would go down in the history books but this, this was something that would act as a new cornerstone to Novean policy both domestic and foreign. His predecessor, Satine Remanti would be the official from Noveaux to actually sign the Accords. Olivier at out of deep respect and acknowledging her efforts to make these Accords a reality drafted an Imperial Act that would give her for this one moment full authority of the Throne on behalf of the people of the Confederation. Public support for such a thing was literally through the roof with no major party or organization openly criticizing the new ruler for this.

Upon landing they were ushered into their respective cars and set off for the City Hall at which the President of Sekia was already waiting. Olivier had briefly met the man who had been a steadfast ally of Satine throughout the latter years of her reign, unfortunately he had not yet had the pleasure of any informal time with the President and he did indeed hope they could find time off the books for a meeting between the two. Olivier wanted, if not needed, to gauge him for himself rather than purely relying on his predecessor and the senior Ministers. Their arrival at the City Hall was accompanied by quite a bit of fanfare with Satine and Olivier standing on the steps to the entrance with nearly the entire delegation taking up the entirety of said steps and waving for the media. Quite the picture really as while Noveaux was the middle member in size it was Noveaux that bound this agreement. Noveaux that brought the others together but it would be all three in concert that would truly bring prosperity to all.

Entering the delegation did a two by two line with Satine taking precedence even though Olivier was the reigning Sovereign. The doors to the main chamber opened and as the Noveans filed in between one past sovereign and then present they all bowed out of respect for the Sekia delegation and hosts. "Magnificent to see you again." Satine said warmly. She turned to Olivier who smiled and shook the President's hand offering a smile and greeting himself. "It appears our technocratic allies haven't arrived quite yet." Satine said with a bit of a smug look. "Waiting we shall do but time to simply talk." Another broad smile crossed her warm face. Those closest to her had advised the former Empress to not attend for her health but, having worked tirelessly for nearly a decade  to set these Accords up she was not just about to miss it all coming to fruition. The Noveans took their seats.

There are two jets in the Eraphalian Government that is used to transport large amounts of politicians. They are, named respectively and honorably, Alasca and Hersa. Flying jointly with each other, the twin sister sonic jets flew in a quasi-formation as they approached Sekia. Following the traditional Eraphalian design, the twin jets were designed to be stream-lined with a predatory look. Painted in black, their names along with the flag of Eraphalia were embossed onto the hull.

In the Hersa carried the Director of Eraphalia with his entourage from various positions in the Eraphalian Government. The notable ones in the the Hersa are: Director Eric Jackling of Economics, Director Williams Hearst of Internal Affairs, Director Abigail Newman of Social Order, and finally Director Tom York of Finance. Without a doubt, the current individuals in the Hersa are key power players in Eraphalian politics and the presence of them shows Eraphalia's commitment to the Tripartie. Unfortunately, there are missing players from other branches of government, notable ones being the Director of Military, James Wilsberg.

Trailing behind the lead jet is Alasca which housed the smaller entourages of the directors in the Hersa. Strangely enough, the current mayor of Argena-Hersa was also accompanying the large political trip. While normally a man of a low position in the Eraphalian Government would not be invited or be even permitted to join in the trip, Henry Lord was invited on the basis of being a friend of Williams Hearst along with being a rising power in the Technocratic Party. Even with the backing of one of the key directors of Eraphalia, the young mayor could only fiddle his thumbs with nervousness emitting from his body as he was surrounded by many notable officials in the Alasca

The security team of such a concentration of Eraphalian individuals is the famed Charlie Team, a Federal Special Unit. Like many FSU squadrons, the security team donned themselves with uniform that permit anonymity. The majority of the unit located themselves in the Hersa with the remaining in the Alasca

As the twin large jets landed onto the airport, the Eraphalian politicians slowed themselves in the discussions they were having. The first to stand up is the Head of Comforts, Iric Earn. Declaring a safe travel, Irin opened the exit of Hersa and allowed the FSU unit to move to form the standard ceremonial formation. Saluting, the security team allowed the various directors to exit into the airport. The same happened in the Alasca.

As the politicians rested themselves after a long flight, they were escorted to the various vehicles that were prearranged. The main one of the vehicles, being a large specially crafted limousine, was the Guardian. Famed in Eraphalia, the steadfast limousine is the premier ceremonial transport for the Director, being one of the most expensive vehicles to be built and one of the most secured. Unlike most days, the Guardian will also be the host of the secondary directors as the large party made their way towards the city hall.

"Today marks the day huh?" Director Eric mused rather loudly in front of the others as he fixed his tie. "It seems today is the day that history will finally be made. Hopefully today anyways, I don't think I can bare anymore discussions."

"Please hold your celebrations Director Eric," Director Williams smiled as he closed his phone, "we don't want any early fireworks do we? Especially in the limo. We rather not have the cleaners back home have to toil an hour or two to clean up the mess!"

The minor joke was not forgiven by the other directors, some laughing while the others only hide their faces in disgust. Director Eric attempted a reply but was quickly stopped by Director Tom, whom had a pleading face. Understanding the gesture, the young director bit his tongue and settled himself back into the leather seat. The seats of the directors and vice-directors are ones that have long histories of long interesting discussions that may or may not be appropriate for politics. In order to succeed in fostering good relations with your fellow officials, one must learn when to bite back and when to relent. Fortunately for Director Eric, he was a quick learner. It can be said that he wears the invisible medals of maturity with pride.

Strangely enough, the Director did not comment on the minor scene that had transpired in front of him and instead opted to look outside the window. This action was not unnoticed by his peers, who decided to comfort themselves with their thoughts and the scenery. While they did not understand the silence that the eldest of them all had, they knew enough to leave the man alone to his thoughts.

The continued silence lingered in the limousine until it arrived at the city halls. As the limousine and her herd of Eraphalian vehicles parked themselves at the city hall, the various Eraphalian officials began exiting them. The first naturally being the grand party of directors before being followed by their entourage and the small gathering of minor or middle-leveled politicians. Charlie Team formed up around the gathering, ready to escort the officials to the city hall and into the main chambers. However, they were waved off by the Director, who simply held up a hand and snapped. While this did confuse the FCU unit, they relented quickly and disappeared back into the vehicles.

Director Abigail watched subtly as the security team moved away before she decided to comment on the event, "Director, is there a reason why they were recalled?"

"Today is a joyous occasion Director Abigail and my fellows, this is the historical day of friendship. We cannot bare ourselves high and proud with eyes of naive happiness if we are surrounded by men armed to the teeth and trained in the ways of combat. We cannot be proud to walk in to greet our friends with guards while they bring not a single one. Can we truly, as Eraphalians, say that we believe if we didn't believe at first?" The Director turned to his fellow Eraphalians as he declared his speech, "We cannot. Now, let us march in and embrace a new era for Eraphalia. For the Fatherland."

With that, the Eraphalians moved as a single unit towards the city hall while entertaining the media with waves and greetings. The head of the delegation was, naturally, the Director himself. Behind him followed the secondary directors and finally in a double-line, the entourage of Eraphalian politicians. As they entered into the main chambers, the delegation stopped before their fellows from Sekia and Noveaux. Bowing, each of them gave thanks before filling in their respective seats.

The only man that did not followed the procedure was the Director himself, who, after the grand thanks, decided to maneuver his way skillfully to the head of states. A small smiled formed as he noted who was also attending the Prosperity Accords. After making his way through the chambers and to his targets, the Director bowed before greeting them, "Good day my fellows! Eraphalia has arrived to this meeting."

As the meeting area started to fill up with the various officials of Sekia's closest allies, the President welcomed each of the important figures in each respective entourage. In particular, he talked closely with the Dowager-Queen and The Director.

"It is wonderful to have you both here. I'm quite eager for us to get this going. Close friends helping to create closer allies."

As the majority of the entourages from all three countries were starting to get seated, Zhulis encouraged the others to follow suit.

"As you all know, this is a major step for the three of us, as well as the whole of Artemia. In signing this, we will be promoting a closeness in this region of the world. We will promote a technological, cultural, and military camaraderie that will promote a peaceful agenda to the rest of the world. We shall pledge to protect and to share. In short, this will be a bright future for our three nations, and in the future, even more nations."
The president went on; "We will begin with discussion and voting on the military section of the alliance first."

Zhavirru, The Republic of Sekia

Satine and Olivier listened to the President as he spoke and then came the business of the whole affair. The military section was thorough, detailing that the three nations would guarantee one another's neutrality along with signing a comprehensive defense agreement that would stipulate that should they be attacked the others would unfailingly come to their aid. Fortunately should any nation wage an offensive war it would not mean the others would be bound to support them, thus essentially meaning they'd be able to reject a call to war through legal and respectable means. The whole ceremony was practically a rubber stamp of the whole Accords. No nation present hadn't been so during th entire decades long process of hammering out the Accords.

Satine and Olivier shared a  glance before he nodded and she tapped the microphone sitting in front of them gently. "On behalf of the United Realms we have no issues with the current form of the military treaty." She said with a smile looking over to the President of Sekia before glancing at the Director of Eraphalia. Likely their responses would be the same on this and matters would progress with ease. Noveaux did have some matters to attend to internally as election campaigns were in full swing back in the Realms as the nation prepared to enter an early election in January.
